The Knitting & Crochet Guild (KCG) is a national educational charity dedicated to UK hand knitting, domestic machine knitting and crochet. It's been going for over 40 years, and their aim is to be around for another 40 years and more. If you become a member of the KCG, you'll join a friendly community of hand-knitters, machine-knitters and crocheters, supported by a network of committed volunteers. Members of the KCG care deeply about developing their crafts into the future, while respecting the skills and traditions of the past.To find out more, you can visit various links:
LATEST NEWS: Join us at the Un-Convention
The Knitting and Crochet Guild’s annual Convention is normally an eagerly-awaited event in the crafting year. Sadly, this year like so many other events it has had to be cancelled – but fear not! – it has been replaced by the Guild’s first-ever online Un-Convention.
This innovative event runs from September 9th – 15th, and offers keynote talks from speakers including our patrons Kaffe Fassett, Louisa Harding, Lorna Hamilton-Brown and Jane Crowfoot, interactive workshops, live Q&A sessions with some of our speakers, and more than 40 videos on yarn-related topics which you can watch at your leisure. All events are free, though a small number are restricted to Guild members.
To find out more about this feast of crafty treats, visit https://unconvention.kcguild.org.uk/un-convention. We look forward to seeing you online!
