Design Your Own Yarn

We've teamed up with one of the best hand-dyers in the country, Coastal Colours, to bring you this exclusive opportunity to design your own yarn - the colours and the base material! You can select 1, 2 or 3 colours for your yarn and we have over 60 colours to choose from.

We have 18 bases for you to select, in a range of yarn weights (lace weight, 4 ply and DK). These range from basic sock yarn, to Merino/Silk blends, right up to luxury blends such as Baby Alpaca plus Silk plus Cashmere, and even some ultra-soft-ultra-luxury blends!

And what about the price? Well you'll be delighted to hear that the cost of your customised dyeing will be fully included in the normal price of the yarn. This means we can offer you these exclusive prices:

Ordering Process

We've put together a very simple ordering process, that will guide you through your choices. Here's how it goes:

  • First, you select from over 60 colours. You can choose 1, 2 or 3 colours.
  • If you choose 2 or 3 colours, we'll show you a mock up of how the yarn will look and how the colours will blend together.
  • If you'd like to change colours, you can go back and do this.
  • When you're happy with your colour choice, you'll then select your base material. We'll show you extra information on each base material and also show a photo.
  • You'll then choose how many skeins you want and can leave a message for Coastal Colours if you wish.
  • To end with, we'll show you a summary of your choices and ask you to fill in your details. These details will then be sent to Coastal Colours who will contact you for payment. If you're in the UK, your yarn should be with you within a week of paying.
